Wild Afternoon For Louisiana State Troopers

Louisiana State Police are investigating a wild chain of events that included a car chase, a car crash and an officer discharging his gun. Troopers were conducting an investigation at Sam's Town casino Tuesday just before 2 pm. After making contact with the subject of the investigation, the subject fled to his vehicle and attempted to run over an officer. An officer discharged his weapon at the vehicle.

The ensuing car chase ended with a wreck on Clyde Fant parkway, which sent two people to the hospital. The suspect then carjacked a vehicle and took off again. Troopers eventually found the stolen car but the suspect is still at large.

Police have not released the identity of the suspect or what they were initially investigating him for.
