Tre'Davious White  from Booker T. Washington High School was taken in the 1st round. He was picked 27th by the Buffalo Bills. He's one of the top defensive backs in the nation.

In 12 games for the Tigers, White had 35 tackles, two interceptions and a return touchdown last season. He’s also fully capable of being a kick return specialist.

Another local player we have been watching is Trent Taylor from Louisiana Tech. He played his high school ball at Evangel. He was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 177th pick in the 5th round. He's a 5-8" receiver who weighs 178 lbs. During his time with the Bulldogs, Taylor caught 327 passes for 4179 yards and 32 touchdowns. He is the schools all time leader in receptions and is second in yards and touchdowns. Here's how Taylor got the news:

Brandon Wilson was a Calvary standout and took his talent to Houston. He also got the call. His phone rang during the 7th round as the Cincinnati Bengals chose Wilson with the 227th pick. Wilson played all over Houston’s defense, and he even spent some time at running back. The Bengals love versatility, and Wilson fits that bill. He's a 5'11", 200 pound running back, but could be converted into a cornerback in the pros. He did catch plenty of eyes at the NFL combine when he ran a 4.36 and showed off a vertical jump of 41 inches. Brandon is projected to go in the 4th or 5th round.

Weston Steelhammer played high school ball at Calvary and went on to the Air Force Academy. At 6'2" and 201 pounds, he's considered small by NFL standards. He didn't get a call nor did Savion Brown from Fairpark. He played college ball at ULL.
