Denver and Seattle will square off in Super Bowl 48 on February 2, 2014. Find out the Super Bowl kickoff time and all the other key facts you want to know about Super Bowl XLVIII.

The 2014 Super Bowl (Super Bowl XLVIII) will be held Sunday, February 2, 2014 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The stadium is home to the New York Giants and New York Jets. It's being billed as the "first mass-transit Super Bowl."

Tickets to see the Super Bowl

In case you want to make the trip to Jersey for the game, there are limited Super Bowl XLVIII packages available at nflonlocation.com.

Security & regulations

Heightened security is planned for the game and the rules are strict this year. Fans are permitted to carry just two items inside the stadium:

1. one clear plastic bag that does not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
2. a small clutch bag, approximately 4.5" x 6.5".

Purses, handbags, seat cushions, camera and binocular cases are not permitted. Another change for this year's games is that there will be no tailgating. (Could you imagine a football game in Louisiana without tailgating?!)

What to expect from the weather

The weather is the primary focus for most fans. The game kicks off in the evening and the temperatures will be dropping each hour.

The Farmers' Almanac is using words like "piercing cold," "bitterly cold" and "biting cold" to describe the first outdoor Super Bowl in years. Will it be a messy "Storm Bowl"? It's very likely.

Date, time and halftime show

For those of us counting down to the big game and watching it at a party, here are some things you need to know.

Superbowl XLVIII is scheduled to kickoff at 5:30 pm CST on Fox, but you can listen to the game on AM 1130 The Tiger. Usually, the kickoff gets delayed by a few minutes because of all the pre-game activity.

Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will provide the halftime entertainment. We can't wait to hear what pairing brings to the table.

Super Bowl day is typically the biggest pizza delivery day of the year. But we found a really cool party tray (see picture) that you might want to try to make to bring to a party.

Who would you call in Shreveport Bossier to build one of these massive Super Bowl party trays? It has cheese and crackers and so much more. You'll need an adult beverage or two to wash all this down!

Prior to the game this year, we will get a spectacular pregame show, but CBS has not released much information about that yet. We're still waiting to find out who will sing the National Anthem.Check out the list of all past National Anthem singers for the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl commercials

Lots of people watch the game just for the commercials, and you should expect some creative ones this year.

Pepsi is sponsoring the Halftime Show, but will also have a commercial during the pre-game show. Ads cost $4 million for 30 seconds, and Fox sold out last month. Other advertisers for this year's game include Anheuser-Busch, Chobani Greek yogurt and Dannon's Oikos Greek yogurt, Unilever's Axe brand, General Motors, Hyundai and many others.
