What Is Sharknado And Why Are People Talking About It?
When summer television pickings are slim, sometimes it only takes a quirky story to set social media ablaze.
That’s what happened with the SyFy channel’s made-for-TV movie Sharknado. The concept of the film is fairly straight forward, like Snakes On A Plane was: there’s a tornado that sweeps up sharks and runs through Los Angeles.
The cover photo for the film is reminiscent of a classic film. But from the reaction on Twitter, it was a laughable classic, like William Hung.
Of course, with a title of “Sharknado”, Twitterites and Facebookies offered their own sequel ideas.
