We’re Breathing Easier: Cleaner Air for Bossier City
Good news for Louisianians, we're breathing cleaner air than ever. May is national clean air month.
Rodney Mallett, Communications Director with the Department of Environmental Quality, tells 7-10 KEEL even Shreveport-Bossier has the cleanest air ever recorded.
Mallett says one of the ways to keep Shreveport-Bossier clean is getting the public involved in ozone action days. Those are days when citizens volunteer to consume less power outdoors, which tends to clog the atmosphere.
This isn't a one time rating, though. Mallett says we'll need to work hard as a community to keep our atmosphere free of pollutants.
There's a website where you can check the current, real time pollution rating. It's
