The National Weather Service says the Red River is expected to rise about a foot more at the Shreveport gauge before it starts dropping. But it's still far from being at flood stage which, in Shreveport, is 30 feet.At 7 o'clock this morning, the Shreveport gauge read 23-point-3 feet. The river's expected to crest here sometime Monday at 24-and-a-half feet and then start dropping. At 7 o'clock this morning, Caddo Lake was at 169 feet. Flood stage is 172, so it's still three feet below that point. The lake's expected to stay right about where it is now for the next several days.
