Shreveport residents are being asked to voluntarily conserve water. A combination of brutal heat and no rainfall have placed a higher-than-usual demand on the city's water supply, water treatment, and water distribution systems. So the City's asking residents to use water only when you need it; don't leave water running, turn it off when you're finished; take shorter showers; sweep your driveway rather than hosing it off; and only water your lawn early in the morning or late in the evening.  You should also check and fix any leaky faucets.
