UPDATE: Major Shreveport Intersection Back Open

A major Shreveport intersection that was shut down after an 18-wheeler accident is back open. The accident happened when a Tango big rig knocked down a utility pole at the intersection of East Bert Kouns and Wallace Lake. 

All lanes at the intersection were blocked during the lunch hour and early afternoon while emergency crews cleared the wreckage.

Callers to the 7-10 KEEL Traffic hotline this morning reported the truck smashed into a pole and the wires were dangling over traffic. Thanks to the motorists who called in the accident for our listeners.  We have no reports of any injuries from the crash.
