Unwind Downtown Pub and Culture Crawl to Honor Ugly Christmas Sweaters

Rare is the lucky person who has not been on the receiving end of a gloriously unattractive or downright awe-inspiringly hideous Christmas sweater from someone who meant well but should have known better. Thursday night, the DDA-sponsored Unwind Downtown Pub and Culture Crawl will celebrate these lapses in good taste by honoring Ugly Christmas Sweaters. All participants who wear Ugly Christmas Sweaters will be entered into a contest in which they could win real prizes (a donation slip to Goodwill, perhaps, or a box of matches to light the ceremonial Ugly Sweater bonfire.) There will finally be pride in ownership Thursday night as people will be able to say, “My Ugly Christmas Sweater is uglier than your Ugly Christmas Sweater.” Rock on.

The Special Ugly Christmas Sweater Edition of the Unwind Downtown Pub and Culture Crawl kicks off at 5:00 pm at 710 Texas Street (artspace) with music, beverages, art and eats and moves throughout the night to: Ernest’s Orleans Restaurant, The Noble Savage Tavern, Lake Street Dance Hall and the Sandbar. The Unwind Pub and Culture Crawl is an adult-only event, so only 21 and older, please.

Though this is the last Unwind event of 2011, the Pub and Culture Crawl will be back in 2012, bigger and better than ever with fun monthly themes and tremendous prizes. Details coming soon!
