Police are investigating two shootings that happened within minutes of each other late Friday night.

At about 11:30, police were dispatched to a "shots fired" call in the 1600 block of Vivian Street.  When they got there, 20-year-0ld Andre Pennywell told them that he had just arrived at a party at that location when people started running out of the house.  Moments later, he heard several shots and was struck in the leg.  He was taken to LSU Health for treatment of what was called a minor wound.

Then, just five minutes later, officers were called to LSU Health because 29-year-old Laterrance Johnson had showed up there by private auto for treatment of a minor gunshot wound to the hip.  He's told officers he was walking near Hearne Avenue and Murphy Street when a maroon colored Chevy Malibu approached; slowed down; and the driver fired several shots in his direction before speeding off.

Violent Crimes detectives are investigating both shootings and they ask anybody who might have information about either of them to call Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
