A new president has been named for University Health Shreveport.  Roderick L Williams has been chosen to lead the facility, effective August 1.

A news release from the hospital says Williams is a seasoned healthcare executive with deep skills in hospital leadership and community engagement.

Williams is a native of southern Alabama and has served in a variety of executive leadership roles for Inova Health Systems in suburban Washington, D.C. for the past 19 years.  He holds a Masters of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management from Clark College in Atlanta, Georgia.

"I'm delighted to join University Health as the leader of its Shreveport hospital services," said Williams.  "I have strong ties to northern Louisiana through my family and consider it an honor to be chosen to help guide University Health as it builds the best system of medical care in Louisiana for all families and all communities."
