Shreveport Mayor Ollie Tyler talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the just released city budget for 2018.

Tyler's budget would give a 3% base pay increase for Shreveport's police and firemen and a 5% boost for city workers making under $75,000 a year. The Mayor also explains that the increases in salaries will be paid for by cutting in a number of other municipal departments, but promises that the citizens won't be subject to a reduction in any city services.
