Two young kids were seriously injured after crashing the motorized scooter they were on into a car in Bossier Parish.

Louisiana State Police say a 7-year-old girl was driving the scooter on Hanover Street at Creole in the Rosedale subdivision.  She reportedly ran a stop sign and crashed into a woman's car.

Neither the girl nor her passenger, a 5-year-old boy, were wearing a helmet, and were thrown from the scooter.  They were taken to LSU Health Shreveport with serious injuries.  The car's driver wasn't hurt.  The crash is still being investigated.
