Two wrecks at I-49 and Southern Loop had traffic tied up for much of the morning. Caddo Sheriff's Spokeswoman Cindy Chadwick says the first wreck happened on the northbound side of the interstate, when a vehicle hydroplaned, hit a concrete structure and caught fire. The driver was taken to a local hospital, but no word on the extent of injuries. As a cement truck was approaching the earlier wreck, a vehicle changed lanes in front of it, causing the truck to swerve onto the shoulder, flip onto its side and spill its load of concrete. No injuries are reported from that wreck, but the roadway had to be shut down periodically so the truck could be righted and the mess cleaned up.
