A pair of local teens is in jail for allegedly breaking into several vehicles early this morning in southeast Shreveport.

Shreveport police got a call from a concerned citizen at around 3:20 this morning about several males rifling through vehicles at an apartment complex parking lot in the 6000 block of Roma Drive.

Patrol officers found four males, all of whom took off on foot to evade capture. Two of them were caught -- 18-year-old Jeremy Bell and 17-year-old Laroyce Daniel-Brown. One officer suffered minor injuries during the chase.

Detectives believe Bell, Daniel-Brown and two others broke into at least four vehicles on Roma before police arrived. Investigators are working now to identify and catch the other two males.

Bell and Daniel-Brown are each charged with one count of simple burglary and resisting an officer with force or violence. They may face additional charges as the investigation continues.

On a side note, Bell and Daniel-Brown were arrested together in March 2014 and charged in connection with vehicle burglaries at another Shreveport apartment complex.
