TWO SHREVEPORT POLICE OFFICERS HAVE BEEN FIRED FOLLOWING TWO SEPARATE PRE-DISCIPLINARY CONFERENCES. JOEY WILLIS, WHO JOINED THE DEPARTMENT IN MARCH OF 1990, AND JEFFRION SMITH, WHO WAS HIRED IN FEBRUARY OF 2009, WERE BOTH TERMINATED THIS MORNING BY POLICE CHIEF WILLIE SHAW -- FOR VIOLATING DEPARTMENT POLICIES.

Willis is charged with one count of concealing assets, two counts of making false statements and three counts of giving false testimony related to a 2009 bankruptcy. He is scheduled to appear in court on Valentine's Day.
