Two Bossier City women who worked at Bellaire Baptist Learning Center have been arrested on child cruelty charges.

Bossier City police 28-year-old Tammi Hilliard allegedly hit a two-year-old in the face when the toddler threw a toy and 49-year-old Doris Williams failed to report it.  Both women have been charged with cruelty to a juvenile and two counts of simple battery.  Police say Learning Center staffers went to police after a parent noticed a bruise on a child.

Five children were believed to have been involved in various incidents, including excessive spanking and being pulled or jerked around.  The women have been fired from the day care.
