A pre-dawn fire in Winnsboro leaves two children and one adult dead, and seriously injures three others.

According to a State Fire Marshal's Office news release, shortly before 2 a.m., Winnsboro firefighters were called to a home in the 2000 block of Mike Street. When they arrived, they found the single-wide, manufactured home engulfed in flames.

Before investigators got to the scene, firefighters located and removed the bodies of 31-year-old Derrick Boley, his 3-year-old son Kenderrick, and 8-year-old Bryson Scobbee. Three other victims, 29-year-old Victoria Guthrie, a 6-year-old and a 19-month-old, were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Investigators say the fire originated in the kitchen, which was heavily damaged by fire. No official cause has been determined yet, and the investigation continues.
