Shreveport police are probing the cause of a two-car wreck that claimed the life of a Benton woman.

Officers say 28-year-old Chelsea Ferris of Shreveport was headed eastbound on the Terry Bradshaw Passway, just east of the Linwood Avenue entry and exit ramps, when her car crossed over into oncoming westbound traffic. The vehicle rolled, hitting a car driven by 37-year-old Jocelyn Wright of Benton. Wright was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ferris was taken to a local hospital, where blood samples were taken for routine toxicology tests. She was later transported to the Shreveport Police Department for questioning. The exact cause of the accident is still under investingation. Charges may be filed once test results come back.
