Today is a joyous occasion for snack food lovers.  The creme-filled sponge cakes that fell victim to a corporate bankruptcy are back on store shelves.

The return comes after months of absence from grocery store shelves when Hostess Brands liquidated during bankruptcy proceeds after failed negotiations with the company's labor unions.

The new owner of the brand, a new Hostess Brands, LLC, say that their company is much leaner and more cost efficient than its predecessors.  This was done primary through streamlining distribution systems and hiring back many of the former employees, without the union and lower costs.

Some reaction from the Twitter-verse...

Are you excited for the return of the golden sponge cakes?
