Tuberculosis Testing Is Set For Next Week At Byrd High School
After one Byrd High School student showed signs of tuberculosis, dozens of other students will be tested next week.
Students who had classes with that youngster will be tested on Monday and Tuesday. More than 150 students at Byrd will be called down next week. Disease Intervention Specialist Jamie Wooley with the Caddo Health Unit tells KEEL News TB is not easy to catch.
We asked Wooley how long it will take to get the results back.
Wooley says students who had classes with that teenager were notified personally that they should be tested.
Wooley says the results will be sent to the school next week.
