'True Heroes', a short film about a young boy whose vivid imagination brings amazing adventures to life, is the winner of the 2014 Louisiana Film Prize.

It was director Chris Ganucheau's second attempt at the $50,000 first prize, and following last year's last minute entry, promised himself that if he had the time and resources, 'we could make something truly valuable'.

Film Prize Executive Director Gregory Kallenberg hailed not only Ganucheau, but all of this year's entries, including the top five as 'magical', and said, 'This year we all became something that is a creative force that is reverberating out from here.'
