Tribute To Local Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

It is with a sad heart that we tell you about the loss of another local soldier. Staff Sgt. Michael J. Garcia of Bossier City died on the 4th of July in Logar province, Afghanistan. He was wounded when insurgents attacked his unit. The 27 year old Garcia was assigned to the 63rd Ordinance Battalion based at Fort Polk, La. We pay tribute to his life and pray for those he left behind.
