A tornado watch is effect until 3pm for parts of the Arklatex. The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Sabine, Natchitoches, Allen and several other central Louisiana Parishes until 3pm. This watch could be extended later today as the storms begin to move through the region.

The tornado watch also includes several counties in Northeast Texas including: Angelina, Nacogdoches, Shelby and several others.

Widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue moving from west to east across Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, Southwest Arkansas and all of Northern Louisiana. Some of this rainfall will be heavy at times...especially across
Northeast Texas and Northern Louisiana. Any severe thunderstorms should remain south of the region through today as well.
