Tornado Poster Contest Winners Announced

Winners of the 26th Annual Tornado Safety Poster Contest have been announced. The contest was held in April for all 5th-graders throughout Caddo and Bossier Parishes. It's part of the Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness' Severe Weather Awareness Program. Over 100 public, private and parochial schools were invited to participate. The winners will be presented plaques and cash prizes by CBOHSEP Director Sandy Davis at 3:30 this afternoon. They are:

1^{st Place Caddo: Brent Ashley - Lakeshore Elementary}

1st Place Bossier: Alexandria Harris - Apollo Elementary

2nd Place Caddo: Lyssa Harmon - Vivian Elementary

2nd Place Bossier: Nenah Thomas - Legacy Elementary

3rd Place Caddo: Timberly Richmond-Southern Hills Elementary

3rd Place Bossier: Karen Caal - R.V. Kerr Elementary
