Tolls On The Way For I-49?

Completion of I-49 in the Lafayette area has been slow going and now there is some talk about using tolls to pay for at least half the cost of completing the freeway.

The Advocate in Baton Rouge reports that a consulting firm is suggesting that as a way to fund the project. How much would the toll be? About 16 cents/mile for passenger vehicles and four times that for big rigs.
