Three young men and two juveniles are behind bars this morning, accused of breaking into a home and assaulting a resident. Police got reports that a group of males, one armed with a handgun, threatened a resident in the 200 block of West 69th Street.

When officers arrived, witnesses told them they saw the group run into a home in the 300 block of that street. When the man who lived there got home, he told officers no one should be inside, and he let them inside. A K-9 went in, too, since one of the intruders was possibly armed.

Three of the men turned themselves in to police after warnings that the dog would be sent in after them. It took the K-9 actually going in to get the other two out. Those two juveniles were treated for dog bites. All five were arrested: 21-year-old Jacorey Huggins, 17-year-old Charavious Coleman and 17-year-old David Green. The juveniles' names haven't been released. All of them face a charge of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.

Green was also charged with aggravated assault, and Huggins was booked as a fugitive, since he had an outstanding warrant from another jurisdiction. The two juveniles were booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center.
