According to its website, Hudson Heights Laboratory Magnet High School is located on Sawgrass Parkway in Bossier City. The problem is...the school doesn't exist.

It's one of three fake Bossier Parish schools sheriff's deputies have been investigating since December. Lt. Bill Davis tells 710 KEEL about the other two.

"It's also a school that's supposed to be on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway called East Lockwood New Tech High School, and then Walter J. Marshall Performing Arts Academy right there on Barksdale," Lt. Davis said.

All three schools have elaborate websites, complete with phone numbers, plus photos of the school and its administrators, staff and students. Hudson Heights' website even has a soundtrack to go with it.

Lt. Davis said so far, deputies have not been able to find out who has created these fake sites.

"We know a lot of folks create websites for school projects, and you would hope they would put a disclaimer saying that this is a project, this is not real, it's just for educational purposes only," Davis said. "But that's not been the case. Possibly these folks have tried this elsewhere in the nation."

Davis said the sheriff's office has been working with the Louisiana Department of Education to find out if it has any indication any funds have been transferred. So far, they've found nothing...so no crime and no charges filed.

"The interesting part is, it looks like a great school. Somebody with an incredible amount of talent could be used somewhere else on a real project or real situation," said Lt. Davis. "But this does not exist and we want folks to know we're well aware of it."
