It's St. Patrick's Day, the one time every year when everybody becomes just a little bit Irish. But how much do we know about the man, St. Patrick, the Apostle of Ireland?

According to catholiccompany.com, St. Patrick was born at Kilpatrick, Scotland, in the year 387, and died at  Downpatrick, Ireland, March 17, 493.  He was kidnapped from his family - his father was a church deacon - at the age of 16 and sold as a slave.

During his captivity the Celtic language. His slave master happened to be a Druid high priest, so St. Patrick also became familiar with the details of Druidism which later enabled him to liberate the Irish people from their occult influence.
