The Krewe of Aesclepius Parties Saturday at Barksdale’s Hoban Hall [AUDIO]

Traditionally known as the 'medical' krewe of the Ark-La-Tex, the Krewe of Aesclepius has members from every area of industry.

Being in the medical industry used to be a requirement for membership, but now, non medical industry individuals can join Aesclepius after being sponsored by a 'medical' member for a year.

The krewe is also known as being the 'childrens' krewe by hosting an annual children's parade. In addition, their bals are renown for their elaborate collar pieces and pageantry.

Aesclepius is active in the community and hosts the annual Upstate Party on Fat Tuesday prior to the bridge closing at midnight. Find out more about the Krewe of Aesclepius by listening to what President Brandi Brooks and King John Winchel had to tell us below!
