It was 1990 and LSU's basketball lineup included Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Jackson and Stanley Roberts. That day in February, Dale Brown's boys were taking on high scoring Loyola Marymount at the LSU Assembly Center and in front of a huge home crowd and a national TV audience. And they played a game for the ages. The final: Loyola Marymount 148, LSU 141.

In that amazing contest, the All American Jackson had 34 to lead the Tigers. For Loyola, stars Hank Gathers and Bo Kimble had 48 and 32, respectively.

Sadly, Gathers would die of a heart attack just one month later, on the floor in an NCAA tournament game.

Whether or not you think it's the greatest game in LSU history, you will, no doubt, love watching the highlights of one amazing day in basketball.
