The 700 block of Texas Street in downtown Shreveport transforms into a summer block party with rotating trolley tours during TNT Express: SLIP, SIP, SUDS & SLIDE.

The public event is a part of the TNT Express serise that happenes the third Thursday of each month. This week's event runs from 5 until 8 p.m., with trolley tours in 30-minute intervals. The block party and pick-up point for the tour starts at artspace at 710 Texas Street. Trolley tour and activities are free.

Adults and children are encouraged to take to the street to participate in a variety of summertime activities. They can enter a Watermelon Eating Contest, for a $5 entry fee, create Street Chalk Art, play on the Bounce House, SLIDE down the Mega Slide and much more. Adults will SIP specialty drinks and beer SUDS from the cash bar. Food truck vendors will serve tasty snacks and cool treats.

Board the trolley and SLIP down to the Shreveport Water Works Museum to learn about the pumping station that was built in 1887 and was the nation's last operating steam-powered water work. Continue to the J. Bennett Johnston Welcome center to take in the historical panoramic view of the Red River from the second-floor deck, as well as explore the exhibits of waterfowl and fish found in the area. Next, roll over to Central ARTSTATION's Central Gallery for the opening exhibition of the spring graduating Class of the Artists Entrepreneur Trainint Program, featuring works from northwest Louisiana artists.

You can also step into the Artstation's Engine Room for a quick visit with Dorothy Kristin Hanna's Arodasi Healing Institute Yoga Dance Class. It's open and free to the public, with the class beginning at 5:45. Then, get soaked in RiverView Park's interactive water fountain. Finally, fill up at the Robinson Film Center's Abbey Singer's Bistro, with dinner and drink specials exclusively for TNT Trolley riders.
