(original) Texarkana, Texas, police are trying to find the man who held up a bank in the 4800 block of Texas Boulevard during the noon-hour today.  

The man entered the bank around 12:45 and gave the teller a note demanding money.  He took an undisclosed amount of money and then ran from the bank.

The robber is described as a white male between 20 and 40 years of age.  He was wearing a red tee shirt with the words "Old Navy" on the front and khaki pants.  If you recognize him, you're asked to call the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department or Texarkana Crime Stoppers.

(update)  Almost as quickly as the news media began circulating the surveillance photo of the robber, detectives began receiving tips.  They were able to determine that the suspect was 44-year-old Robert Russell of Texarkana, AR.  Officers went to a business in the 900 block of Walton Dr. and found Russell there.  They say he had in his possession a couple of items that linked him to the robbery.  He was arrested for robbery and some unrelated warrants and transported to jail.
