Teens looking to spend their Friday and Saturday nights at the Alexandria Mall will either need an adult with them or find something else to do.

Mall officials have implemented a new policy the prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from entering the mall without an adult after 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

General Manager John Benton said the mall decided to make the move after complaints from shoppers and retailers.  Other malls have seen success with similar policies.
