A local teen has been charged in connection with a shooting that happened last week in west Shreveport. At about 9:45 p.m. on October 3rd, Shreveport police arrived in the 7900 block of Woodfield Drive to find James C. Morgan suffering from a single gunshot wound to the mouth. He was taken to LSU Hospital with a life-threatening wound. Detectives were able to develop 18-year-old Marqualous Pettit as the person who shot Morgan. Investigators believe Morgan was shot during an attempted robbery. Pettit was arrested early this morning and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of attempted second-degree murder.
