Bossier City police have arrested a teenager for burglarizing a church last week and causing some damage in the process. Detectives say 18-year-old Demetrius Thomas is accused of breaking into Waller Baptist Church and preschool in the 400 block of Waller Avenue during the overnight hours on December 28th. Among the items taken in the burglary were a flat-screen TV, digital photo camera and a little over $200 cash. During the break-in, Thomas also damaged several doors by kicking them in to get into offices. Thomas was arrested at his Shreveport home...he was booked into the Bossier City Jail for simple burglary of a religious building.
