Tech Professor Honored

A Louisiana Tech University professor gets a big honor. Dr. James Cochran — Bank of Ruston-Barnes, Thompson & Thurman Endowed Research Professor at Tech’s College of Business — has been named a Fellow of the American Statistical Association. The ASA is recognized by academic and industry leaders as the nation’s preeminent professional statistical society. Cochran received his PhD in Statistics from the University of Cincinnati in 1997 and joined the Tech faculty in 2000. He’s considered a leading authority in the areas like statistical methods, computational statistics and statistical learning. He’s being honored for those contributions.
