Teacher Candidates Sought

With an eye toward increasing the number of certified teachers in this area, LSU-Shreveport is recruiting candidates for its TeachLSUS program. TeachLSUS is an alternative certification program, designed for individuals who do not have a background in education. You do have to have at least a bachelor's degree and a 2-point-5 overall unndergraduate GPA to be eligible. Participants selected for the TeachLSUS program can pursue certification in elementary or secondary education in math, biology, chemistry, english, physics, and social studies. The next session begins this summer but you have to sign up by March 12th. You can find out more about the program on the LSUS website.
