Tattoo Artist Arrested for Tongue-Piercing Minors
Caddo sheriff's detectives say 24-year-old Nicholas Gobert pierced the tongues of two girls -- ages 16 and 17 -- without parental consent. A third girl videoed the piercings on a cell phone as they were done. The owner of Trendsetters Tattoo Shop on Jewella Avenue -- 31-year-old Jonathan Clinton of Shreveport -- was there at the time, and was also arrested. Tattoo artists are required to check IDs, and have a parent's approval to tattoo or pierce anyone under age 18. Gobert and Clinton were booked into Caddo Correctional Center for illegal tattooing and body piercing of minors.
