Caddo Parish officials are urging water conservation throughout the entire parish -- not just in the area with the declared ground water emergency.

According to the U.S. Drought Portal (www.drought.gov) , the Princeton/Haughton area is experiencing severe to extreme drought.  Several surrounding cities and rural areas have already issued water conservation requirements; some have gone as far as shutting off water to their customers...

Shreveport residents are being asked to voluntarily conserve water. A combination of brutal heat and no rainfall have placed a higher-than-usual demand on the city's water supply, water treatment, and water distribution systems.
