Not too long ago, an Shreveport Walmart was seen stocking Twinkies and other Hostess snacks in the bakery section in a display case that would normally house donuts or bagels.  This same Walmart took some corrective action.

The holiday season calls for an increased demand for fresh baked goods from area retailers.  But are Hostess snacks considered fresh baked goods?

Some may joke that Twinkies could last forever, but if someone wants to challenge that, an East Texas man can give you a head-start.

Today is a joyous occasion for snack food lovers.  The creme-filled sponge cakes that fell victim to a corporate bankruptcy are back on store shelves.

Concerned that those creme-filled sponge cakes would be gone forever?  Don't fret.  Company officials say they'll be back soon.

Hostess Brands was given approval today by the bankruptcy court to shut the business down and sell its assets.

Just in case you haven't heard, Hostess, the maker of Twinkies, has shut down all operations and must sell all company assets because of a Bakers Union strike. It is becoming more difficult to to find those delicious cream filled Twinkies in the Shreveport Bossier area and some stores are out.
