Bossier City Police arrested a man on a murder charge in connection with the shooting death of a man that happened just after 6 p.m. Wednesday night in the 400 block of Edwards Street.

Afternoon Fire Damages Home

The Shreveport Fire Department was dispatched to 2724 Darien Street at 4:17 pm for reported house fire this afternoon. Fire crews arrived on scene at 4:20 pm to find a one story wood frame home with heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the home.

Just before 10:00 a.m. this morning, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a call from a vigilant citizen reporting a burglary in progress at a home in the 500 block of West 74th Street.
