State Fair of Louisiana Announces This Year’s Dates and Theme
May 3, 2012 At a recent Board of Directors meeting The State Fair of Louisiana officials announced Oct. 25 - Nov. 11, 2012 will be the official dates of the State Fair. The fair board also revealed this year’s theme "Forever Fun," which celebrates family fun and the new, exciting attractions the fair will offer this year.

Shreveport Bossier Headlines For November 1st
October 31, 2011 The opening weekend of the State Fair was a good one. General Manager Chris Giordano says more than 3 thousand people came through the gates on Saturday alone. He says the crowds were even bigger on Sunday.
The Fair is closed on Monday and Tuesday, but will be back open on Wednesday.
