Video Of Recent Family Dollar Robbery Released
Authorities are releasing video footage of a suspect who robbed a west Shreveport dollar store last week.
At approximately 8:20 p.m. on July 26, 2011, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported robbery at the Family Dollar in the 3800 block of Linwood Avenue. Upon arrival there, patrolmen contacted a witness who told them a male suspect entered the store and purchased a pack of chewing gum.
Capital One Bank Robbed, Suspect Identified
Shreveport Police detectives have obtained an arrest warrant charging a local man in connection with a bank robbery in the 5800 block of Mansfield Rd. on Friday.
Saturday afternoon detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging 32 year old Deandre Kelly, of the 3200 block of Lancaster Streetin Shreveport, with one count of first degree robbery in connection with the robbery of the Capital One Bank in the 5800 block of Mansfield Rd on 07/22/2011

A would-be robber is behind bars. Shreveport police were called to a reported armed robbery in progress at the Jamison Inn -- at the corner of Raspberry Lane and Financial Plaza -- just after three o'clock this morning. When they got there, they confronted a mask-wearing man carrying a bag and coming from behind the counter.
