Lots of DOTD Projects Now Underway Locally

A lot of DOTD work is set to begin -- and continue -- today. Here's a list of what we know about so far -- and keep in mind, all of this will be done weather permitting:

Today and tomorrow, the inside and outside shoulders on I-49 mainline and ramps between Kings Highway and Murphy Street are closed

As long as the weather cooperates, there's a lot of construction going on. Continuing through April 13th, LA 169 in Caddo Parish is closed east of LA 1 for construction of the new northbound roadway on LA 1

Portion of Bossier City Road Closed

A broken valve that caused a water main leak at Swan Lake and Shed Roads in Bossier City has led to some erosion of the roadway. So the city has closed the southbound lane of Swan Lake from Hazel Jones to Shed while repairs are made there

I-220 to Close Saturday

Last year, SWEPCO had some overhead supports collapse along part of I-220. Now, the utility has a permit from the State Department of Transportation and Development to repair that...but it's going to shut down the portion of the highway between Jefferson Paige Road and I-20 for most of Saturday
