The Nonprofit Administration Student Organization at LSU Shreveport will host the annual Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.
Over 20 nonprofit organizations will be present to recruit volunteers and promote their organization

LSU Shreveport faculty member Emre Celebi, Ph.D. has been awarded a $155,895 National Science Foundation (NSF) grant for his proposal "RUI: Novel Enhancements to the K-Means Clustering Algorithm".
The project aims to develop novel approaches that address various shortcomings of k-means, the most widely used data clustering algorithm
