Casey Anthony Makes First Public Appearance Since Murder Trial

Casey Anthony who was cleared of murder, manslaughter and child-abuse charges of her daughter Caylee in 2011, appeared in public for the first time since then yesterday.

Anthony returned to court with her lawyer Charles Greene yesterday because she filed bankruptcy in January.

Search & Rescue Group FIles Civil Suit Against Casey Anthony

The search and rescue group that organized the search for Caylee Anthony has filed a civil suit against her mother, Casey Anthony, to recover money spent in the search to find the girl.

Anthony, 25, was found not guilty in her daughter's 2008 death last week and is scheduled to be released from prison on Sunday after receiving credit for time served on a four-year sentence, CNN reported.

Casey Anthony gets four years for lying to investigators but the judge says she could go free later this month or early in August because she has already served nearly three years in jail. She will get credit under Florida's good behavior laws. Anthony was acquitted of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, but she was convicted on four counts of lying to detectives who were searching for her daughter 3 years ago. The judge also fined her $1,000 on each of the four counts.

The verdict is in. In a case that has been ongoing for close to three years (since her daughter Caylee Anthony's remains were discovered in December of 2008), an Orange County jury found Casey Anthony "Not Guilty" on the three biggest counts in the trial of her daughter's death.
