Crime Stoppers Tips Aid in Numerous Arrests

During the month of May and first part of June, tips received through shreveport-caddo crime stoppers have assisted investigators with closing several cases and arresting 16 suspects in the process. Many of the crimes solved were the result of indentifying suspects captured on video cameras at the businesses where they either burglarized or robbed, and others were fugitives trying to avoid arrest

A High Speed Chase Nearly Into Texas, Then Back Into Shreveport, Ends At Wal Mart

This was the scene outside the Pines Road Wal-Mart around 7:45pm this evening. 

A man driving a dark blue 2001 Chevrolet Impala was being stopped by an officer for playing loud music on Audrey Lane in North Shreveport, but he didn't want to stop.  He led police on a chase that took them on westbound I-20, to just before the first Waskom exit, when the suspect turned his car around in the median and headed back eastbound into Louisiana.

Shreveport Police Join In On Upcoming Nationwide Weekend Event

Citizen's can dispose of unwanted prescription drugs this Saturday at Sheriff's Safety Town as part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.  

Local law enforcement agencies across the country will be working in co-operation with the DEA  to set up collection sites for old, unwanted, and expired pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications.
