The deadline to sign up for the 2016 Bossier Parks and Recreation Youth Spring Soccer season is quickly approaching. Leagues are forming for boys and girls ages 3 to 14 with the season set to begin on March 15, 2016. The deadline to register is February 3, 2016.

Two of the three Bossier City Parks and Recreation Pools open this week.  I talked with city spokesman Mark Natale about what we have to look forward to:

A portion of the North Bossier Park will close this week while improvements are made. Beginning tomorrow, the playground and spray park will close so shade canopies can be installed. The work is expected to take about a week and a half, weather permitting...
