Bossier City Police assisted by the Bossier Parish Coroner’s Office and LSU forensic anthropologist Mary Manheim continued the investigation today into human skeletal remains that were found last night in a wooded area in the 3100 block of East Texas Street.
A ban on the sale and use of Class-C fireworks remains in effect -- at least through tomorrow -- in Shreveport, Bossier City, and most of Bossier Parish. But Shreveport Fire Chief Brian Crawford says there have been instances of people violating that ban.
Our sources tell us that the cities of both Shreveport and Bossier City have decided not to allow the sale of fireworks this Independence Day holiday season. That is not confirmed by city officials, however.
A Bossier City teenager who tried unsuccessfully to throw investigators off his trail has been arrested in connection with multiple vehicle burglaries. 17-year old William Frank Bias of Bossier City faces burglary charges after detectives with the Property Crimes Unit arrested him for committing several vehicle break ins in the Plantation Trace subdivision in south Bossier City on May 25 and 26.
